Now Hiring
We are growing — in the field, in the shop, and for the first time in the office. The roles below are listed in the order we are trying to fill them, most urgent first. Send your resume using the Apply link on any posting, or reach out directly if you have questions about a role.
A note on experience: every posting below has a “bonus” line about newer tools and methods. None of it is a requirement. We are a fifty-year-old company that is deliberately modernizing how it works, and we would rather hire a strong tradesperson who is curious about better methods than someone who already ticks every box. If you have used any of it, tell us. If you have not but want to learn it, tell us that instead.
Welding & Code Technical Lead
Full-Time
Own the technical and code side of the business — welding procedures, quality documentation, and our TSSA and ASME authorizations. This is the senior technical seat at IMW, currently held by the owner, and we are looking for the person who will take it over. It is also a build role: the mandate includes extending our quality program to pressure vessel manufacturing certification and, beyond that, toward nuclear supply chain qualification. You would not be starting from a blank page — we already run an accepted QA manual across six Certificates of Authorization. Our owner carries a CSA N285 background from earlier in his career and will mentor the right person through it.
What You'll Do
- Own WPS/PQR development and welder qualification records
- Maintain TSSA Certificates of Authorization and ASME/CSA compliance
- Act as technical contact for inspectors, authorized inspectors, and consulting engineers
- Review drawings and specs, and set weld, testing, and inspection requirements
- Support estimating and project teams on code, materials, and constructability
- Extend our existing QA manual to cover pressure vessel manufacturing
- Build the quality system toward nuclear supply chain qualification (CSA N299)
What We're Looking For
- Working depth in ASME B31.1 / B31.3 / B31.5 and Section IX
- CWB Level 2 or 3, CSA W178.2, IWE/IWT, or P.Eng — or equivalent depth earned on the floor
- Experience with TSSA registration and pressure piping submissions
- Comfortable being the final technical word on a job
- Able to teach — a good part of this role is levelling up the crew
- Interest in building a certification program from the ground up, not just maintaining one
Bonus, not a requirement: CSA N285 or N299 nuclear experience, ASME Section VIII vessel work, digital WPS and procedure management, weld traceability software, NDE coordination, or experience qualifying automated and orbital welding processes.

Estimator — Industrial Mechanical & Fabrication
Full-Time
Price the work that fills our shop and field schedule — everything from small service tickets to complete industrial projects. You will own takeoffs, quotes, and the numbers behind whether we win the job and whether it makes money.
What You'll Do
- Take off piping, fabrication, and mechanical scopes from drawings
- Build labour and material estimates and issue quotes
- Work with the shop on fabrication hours, sequencing, and capacity
- Track bid outcomes and sharpen the numbers over time
- Help build a repeatable pricing model for small projects
What We're Looking For
- Estimating experience in mechanical, piping, or steel fabrication
- Able to read P&IDs, isometrics, and structural drawings
- Strong with spreadsheets, and comfortable defending a number
- Understands the difference between a service call and a project
Bonus, not a requirement: estimating or digital takeoff software (Trimble, FastPIPE, Bluebeam), BIM/Revit coordination, or an interest in building our first proper estimating database from scratch.

Project Manager — Industrial Projects
Full-Time
Run small industrial mechanical projects end to end, from award through closeout, so the field crew arrives to a plan instead of a puzzle. This role is how we turn a strong service business into a strong project business.
What You'll Do
- Own schedule, budget, procurement, and closeout on assigned projects
- Coordinate shop fabrication with field installation
- Manage client communication, change orders, and progress billing
- Work with the technical lead on code requirements, ITPs, and turnover packages
- Keep projects moving without pulling the crew off service commitments
What We're Looking For
- Project management experience in mechanical, piping, or industrial construction
- Comfortable with contracts, change orders, and holdback
- Reads drawings well enough to catch problems before the crew does
- Organized enough to run several small jobs at once
Bonus, not a requirement: project management software beyond spreadsheets, digital field reporting, 3D scanning or model-based coordination, or lean and prefabrication scheduling experience.

Full-Time
The hub of our service business. You will schedule the crew, keep customers informed, and make sure every job gets from the first phone call to a clean invoice without falling through a crack.
What You'll Do
- Take service calls and schedule technicians
- Keep the daily and weekly field schedule current and realistic
- Chase down parts, materials, and site access ahead of the crew
- Turn field paperwork into accurate invoices quickly
- Be the voice customers hear when they call us
What We're Looking For
- Dispatch or service coordination experience in the trades
- Calm under pressure — the schedule changes daily
- Strong phone and written communication
- Organized, and genuinely stubborn about follow-up

Industrial Millwright — Red Seal
Full-Time
Red Seal Industrial Millwright with a strong mechanical piping emphasis. Beyond standard millwright scope, this role leans heavily on process, power, and gas piping tie-ins alongside equipment installation and alignment — and it is our primary pathway into hot tapping, where the millwright skill set is exactly what the work demands.
What You'll Do
- Install, align, and maintain industrial equipment
- Fit and tie in mechanical piping systems
- Read and work from P&IDs and isometrics
- Train into hot tapping — machine setup, alignment, and live-system work
- Work in-shop in Nobleton and on client sites across the GTA
What We're Looking For
- Red Seal Industrial Millwright certification (433A)
- Solid background in mechanical piping
- TSSA-regulated systems experience an asset
- Comfortable moving between shop and field work
Bonus, not a requirement: hot tapping or line stop experience, laser shaft alignment, vibration analysis or condition monitoring, precision machining, or experience commissioning packaged and automated equipment.

Shop Fabricator — CAD, CNC & Automation
Full-Time
A shop-based fabricator who moves comfortably between the screen and the machine — model it, cut it, weld it, machine it. Our shop is growing and has capacity to fill, and this role grows with it.
What You'll Do
- Fabricate pipe spools, pump skids, valve trains, and structural assemblies
- Model and detail parts in CAD and produce shop drawings
- Set up and run CNC and machining equipment
- Weld to code on carbon steel, stainless, and alloys
- Help improve how the shop runs, not just what it makes
What We're Looking For
- Fabrication and welding background with real shop time
- Working CAD ability (Solidworks, Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar)
- Machining experience — manual, CNC, or both
- Interest in better processes and automation, not just more hours
Bonus, not a requirement: CAM programming, plasma or laser profiling, robotic or cobot welding, 3D scanning, fixture and jig design, or PLC-adjacent knowledge.

Hot Tapping Technician
Full-Time
Join our hot tapping crew making live connections on pressurized gas, water, steam, and process piping up to 12″ — without taking the system offline. Hot tapping is one of our core specialties, not a sideline. A millwright background is ideal for the tapping side; welders who want to run the code welding and work into tapping are equally welcome. Work spans the GTA and cottage country.
What You'll Do
- Set up and operate hot tap and line stop equipment
- Work safely on live, pressurized systems
- Travel to client sites across the GTA and cottage country
- Follow TSSA and ASME/CSA code requirements
What We're Looking For
- Millwright, pipefitter, or welding background — hot tapping experience is a bonus, not a prerequisite
- TSSA certification, or the ability to obtain it
- Valid driver's license for mobile site work
- Comfortable working on pressurized and live systems
Bonus, not a requirement: line stop experience, larger-diameter tapping, or a habit of documenting jobs properly on a tablet instead of the back of a napkin.
