Shop Fabrication
- Pump skids for Canadian and US customers
- Built and tested in house
Prefabricating pipe spools in the shop is the single most effective way to protect a tight schedule. Work proceeds while the site is still being prepared, welds are made in position rather than overhead in a ceiling space, and what arrives on site is ready to hang.
The stainless piping shown here went in on a rooftop chiller. Every bend, branch, and flange face was cut and welded on our shop floor first, so the crew on the roof was bolting a numbered set of finished assemblies rather than fabricating in the cold and the wind.
That is what prefabrication buys you: fewer hot works permits, fewer field welds to inspect, a shorter tie-in window, and a finished job that looks the same as it did on the drawing.
