Natural gas piping, headers, and service connections.

Gas Piping

Gas Piping

Natural gas piping is regulated work with no margin for improvisation. We install and repair gas distribution inside industrial, commercial, and institutional facilities, working to TSSA requirements and coordinating with the utility where a service connection is involved.

What We Do

  • Natural gas distribution piping and headers
  • Appliance, boiler, and process gas connections
  • Regulator and meter set piping
  • Gas piping for rooftop and mechanical room equipment
  • Leak investigation and repair
  • Hot taps on live gas lines

Why IMW

  • TSSA certified for fuels and pressure piping
  • Purging, testing, and commissioning support
  • Live connections by hot tap under TSSA QA-03336
  • Documented work for your compliance records

Hot taps on live gas lines

New connections into in-service natural gas piping, without an interruption to supply — under TSSA QA-03336 and our Fuels Contractor Registration.

Common Questions

Are you licensed to install natural gas piping in Ontario?

Yes. IMW holds TSSA Fuels Contractor Registration FS R0076614627, along with TSSA pressure piping authorizations. See certifications.

Can you connect to a live gas main without an interruption?

Yes, by hot tap, under TSSA QA-03336. See hot tapping.

Do you build gas valve trains?

Yes. Complete gas trains — regulators, meters, shutoff and control valves and all interconnecting piping — are assembled, pressure tested and tagged in our shop, so a proven assembly arrives on site ready to tie in rather than a pile of components to fit up in the field. See shop fabrication.

Do you coordinate with the gas utility?

Yes, where a service connection is involved.

Do you do residential gas work?

No. IMW is an industrial contractor and works with plants, facilities, municipalities, utilities and mechanical contractors. We do not take on residential or home repair work.
