Who we work with

Common Questions

Do you do residential welding or home repairs?

No. IMW works with industrial, commercial, and institutional clients — plants, facilities, municipalities, utilities, and mechanical contractors. We are not a residential or handyman service, and we are not able to help with home repairs, railings, gates, or automotive work.

What kinds of clients do you typically work with?

Manufacturing and process plants, hospitals and institutional buildings, municipal water and utility infrastructure, power generation, gas distribution, and food and beverage facilities — plus mechanical contractors who need certified pressure piping capacity.

Is there a minimum for a service call?

Yes. Our work is mobile, certified, and documented, and a minimum charge applies to any call-out to cover mobilization, travel, and the certification and record-keeping that code work requires. We will confirm it with you when we discuss the job.

What certifications do you hold?

Six TSSA Certificates of Authorization covering ASME B31.1, B31.3 and B31.5 piping, boiler and pressure vessel repair and alteration, hot tapping and line stopping, and the Alternate Piping Process for pressure piping inspection in Ontario, together with a TSSA Fuels Contractor Registration.

Do you work outside normal hours?

Yes — scheduled evening, weekend, and holiday work is routine for us, so that plant production is not interrupted. We do not operate an unscheduled emergency call-out service.

What areas do you serve?

Toronto, the Greater Toronto Area, and north into cottage country, with project and fabrication work across Ontario from our shop in Nobleton.

Prefer to talk it through?

For burst pipes and failed lines, phone is faster than email.
